While I do get on Facebook a lot, there is a social networking site I like more. It is called Gothers.com and it's a very laid back, very cool place for goths to come, meet new people, and just be around others like them. Your profile can be as private as you want it to be. There's a dashboard on the homepage that everyone on the site can see and talk to each other even if they're not on your friends list.
One reason I like it more than facebook is there's almost zero drama, and everyone just says how they feel without fear of judgement. And, also, there is literally fifteen people having a cyber staring contest. I couldn't stop laughung when I saw that on the dashboard, and then I joined in! =) yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I'm a goth dork!
So, anyway, if you like meeting new goths, or just some really interesting people, you should check other Gothers.com.
